Inver’s terminal operator px group win major safety award

Inver Energy’s Fuel Terminal at Cardiff Dock secured a silver award as a first time entrant into the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety awards. Inver’s terminal under the management of px group bypassed the merit and bronze categories. Inver’s Cardiff Terminal stores and supplies 300 million litres of petrol, diesel, heavy fuel, kerosene and various additives. This is a huge achievement for the px group and Inver Energy (UK) Ltd. If this standard is maintained over successive years, the Cardiff Terminal under px’s management would also be eligible for a Gold Award. px also won prestigious gold awards for their management of other locations

Mark Kenrick, Director of Safety, Health, Environment and Risk Management with px group, said: “Our goal is to operate our assets without harming people, environment or indeed the equipment and we put a huge amount of effort into achieving this. It is nice to see that this drive has delivered thousands of hours of incident free work which, in turn, has been recognized by RoSPA. Credit for these awards goes to all our employees who, every day, apply the working practices which have kept them and the areas in which they work, safe.”
